Organisers to make decision on whether event will go ahead
Organisers of the Manx Literature Festival are waiting to see how the COVID-19 situation ‘pans out’ before they come to a final decision.
The event had been set to run from 22-27 September this year.
However, Director of Manx LitFest Mr Quirk notes this date “could easily change” depending on the spread of coronavirus.
In a statement, he says the team is “putting together a draft schedule” based on the authors, illustrators and poets it has been in discussion with, should the festival get the “go ahead” to do so.
Since its launch in 2012 the festival has welcomed writers and performance artists worldwide such as Joanne Harris and poet battler Mark Grist.
Manx Litfest is also reminding people to stay updated by following its Facebook Page.
