Nicola Tooms concerned about price of items
More than 140 parents in the Isle of Man have responded to a social media post about the cost of school uniforms.
It was started by Nicola Tooms whose daughter is going to high school in September.
She is surprised at how much things like PE kits are, and is worried some people are getting into debt because of the price of certain items.
Nicola says there seems to be a lot of pressure for people to get things from certain suppliers, instead of being able to buy cheaper items elsewhere:
Manx Radio has contacted the Director of Education who says the responsibility for uniform policies is delegated to schools.
Nicola is now gathering responses to send to the Department of Education, if you would like to contact her the address is nicolatooms@googlemail.com
