Site will be free of charge on Sundays
The Manx Museum will open seven days a week from Easter Day, it has been confirmed.
Enterprise Minister Laurence Skelly says the site will be open free of charge on Sundays for a 12 month trial period and was a 'significant opportunity' to further promote the Island's heritage and culture.
Mr Skelly told Tynwald today (Tue 20) it will then be decided if it is affordable in the longer term.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse welcomed the news but bemoaned that other MNH sites were closed on a Sunday, particularly in the ancient capital at a time when regeneration is ongoing.
