MHK wants changes for next census
It may be too late for this weekend – but a South Douglas MHK says he hopes the Isle of Man can have its own nationality in time for the next census.
In the House of Keys on Tuesday, Bill Malarkey will ask Chief Minister Allan Bell what measures can be taken to have a Manx nationality.
It’s after an outcry over the Island’s interim census which says Manx people are in fact British Nationals.
Mr Malarkey says he’s surprised Manx is seen by the government as just a “national identity”
