After months of planning and rehearsal, one of the most ambitious projects planned for the Year of Culture gets underway today (Sun)
"The Manx Passion" is a massive promenade performance of the bible story from the creation to the crucifixion and resurrection.
It will be performed by a large company of local actors, actresses, choirs and musicians as a sequence of three stand-alone stories -Creation, nativity and Passion - over the next week in a variety of locations around the Island including Mooragh Park, Maughold Church, St Johns and Rushen Abbey.
However, today (Sun) there is a one-off performance of the whole play, expected to run for around three and half hours.
Director Jan Palmer-Sayer says it's NOT too much to take in at a single sitting
Today's performance of the whole of the Manx Passion is at Rushen Abbey from 2pm
