Poetry memoir highlights plight of Patient L1
A Manx writer, performer and activist says he hopes his latest offering will help tell an important ‘survivor’s story’.
Simon Maddrell has released ‘Patient L1’ a series of poems highlighting the plight of one of the first people in the United Kingdom to be diagnosed with HIV.
Jonathan Blake got the label from the London and Middlesex University Hospital in 1982.
