11 Island competitors heading to Northern Ireland this weekend
The Isle of Man's powerlifters are relishing the opportunity to compete, for the first time, at an event which will pit them against top opposition from the UK.
Manx Powerlifting is sending an 11-strong squad to the 2023 Home Nations Championships which will take place in Newtownabbey near Belfast, Northern Ireland this Saturday (4 November).
Team member Jo Corr thinks it shows 'amazing progress' for the sport locally.

Campaigners against offshore windfarm proposals hit out at 'undemocratic' process
Visitors told to prepare for new ETA rules
Crews respond to shed fire in Greeba
Is 'inter-generational home sharing' the solution to the loneliness epidemic and housing crisis?
'Writing under pressure is a skill I certainly have now', says Manx Bard
