
Education chiefs are reassuring the Manx public that extreme violence in schools is an incredibly rare, if not unheard of, occurrence on the Island.
The message comes following the fatal stabbing of a Spanish teacher in a Leeds secondary school on Monday.
Ann Maguire was stabbed in front of her pupils, and a 15-year-old boy has now been charged with murder.
