Three locals have been honoured in His Majesty The King's first Birthday Honours List.
David McLean and Captain Stuart McKenzie have been awarded MBEs and Wendy McDowell has been awarded a BEM.
Mr Mclean was awarded his honour for the promotion of arts, culture and music on the Island.
He told Manx Radio the honour is very humbling:
Mrs McDowell is awarded the BEM for her outstanding contribution to music and drama on the Island:
Manx Radio contacted Captain McKenzie, who received his honour for his outstanding contribution to the Manx community, but he declined the interview.
