A Manx runner who is taking part in Sunday's London Marathon says anyone who withdraws from the event would be giving those who bombed the Boston Marathon a minor victory.
Richard Radcliffe says he believes security will be very tight - but he hopes it won't put anyone off taking part.
Three people were killed and hundreds injured on Monday when two bombs went off in quick succession, close to the finish line of the Boston race.
Mr Radcliffe says large-scale public events are always going to be a soft target for terrorists - and runners in the Marathon have had to accept this as a fact of life for years . .
