Footage shows Rose's return to water
An injured Manx seal has taken her first steps back into the water after being sent for a course of rehabilitation in Scotland.
Rose sustained a serious flipper injury last year, and was taken to the Scottish Seal Sanctuary in Hessilhead with the help of the Steam Packet and the ManxSPCA.
After months of nurturing, she was this week deemed to be healthy enough to be released back into the wild.
But the chances of Rose coming home are slim - her carers say she has assimilated well with her newfound family and will 'more than likely stay in the area'.
