Draft resolution debated at mock UN event
The Island's future politicians tried their hand at diplomacy this week, at a UN model security council.
In its annual event, the Isle of Man United Nations Association tasked sixth formers from across the Island's schools, to reach a resolution for the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Students acted as delegates for countries such as Peru, Kuwait and Ethiopia, as well as those from the 'Big Five' such as China and the US.
UN secretary general for the day was Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney:

Man treated for non-life threatening injuries following Ramsey incident
Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Police dealing with 'serious incident' in Ramsey
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
