Games beckon for local athletes
The bulk of the Manx team for the Island Games leaves the Isle of Man this morning.
Two charter planes will fly them directly to the Swedish island of Gotland, where the 17th edition of the games are taking place.
The opening ceremony takes place tomorrow evening, followed by six days of competition.
The 240-strong Isle of Man will compete across 14 sports.
The Island finished second in the medals table at the last games in Jersey in 2015, with the hosts topping it.
