Charlotte on road to Wimbledon
Thirteen-year-old Charlotte Clark, from Albany Tennis Club has won her final match in the prestigious “Road to Wimbledon” event.
Playing on Wimbledon’s Court 15, she beat Cheshire’s Jemma Cave 6-4, 6-3 to take the title in the County 14 and under category.
43 British counties are represented by a boy and girl to play at the sport's iconic venue.
It is the first time competitors from the Douglas club have reached the knock out stage of the 'Road to Wimbledon' event.
Fellow Albany player Roch Mirski lost out in his semi final tie 1-6 3-6 on Friday.
