The purchase covers December 2026 through to February 2027.
Manx Utilities has bought about 96 percent of the natural gas it needs for this winter.
Vice chair Peter Reid MLC gave the figure in response to a written question from Onchan MHK Rob Callister.
Mr Reid said that the purchase covers December 2026 through to February 2027.
The proportion purchased is 'approximately 98 percent for December, 95 percent for January and 96 percent for February, at an average purchase price of 101.6 pence per therm in each month', he said.
Mr Reid added: "These purchases cover a fixed volume of 80,000 therms per day throughout the three months.
"The variation in the percentage covered reflects differences in forecast daily demand for each month, rather than any difference in the daily volume purchased or the price paid."
Figures from Trading Economics shows the UK natural gas price as being over 200 pence per therm at the start of November.
