Around 150 young musicians to perform seasonal music and new compositions
The Christmas Concert is set to return to the Villa Marina on Saturday (6 December), after last year's performance was cancelled due to disruption caused by Storm Darragh.
The concert will involve around 150 young musicians from the Manx Youth Orchestra (MYO) performing in ensembles ranging from wind and string groups to the full orchestra.
This year's programme is expected to feature a mix of seasonal staples and film music, including pieces from Star Wars and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
New works written by music educators Mark Whear and Phil Jennings will also be premiered.
The event has traditionally drawn a large local audience and is one of several end-of-year performances staged at the Villa Marina each December.
Tickets are available from the Villa Gaiety box office - adult tickets £10, under-16s £5 - and can also be booked online at the Villa Gaiety website. All proceeds will go to Friends’ charity.
