Steam Packet says vessel slightly delayed en route to Heysham
The ferry operator says it was tasked by Holyhead Coastguard to standby a yacht which had lost power and had a injured person aboard.
It diverted course and was on the scene within ten minutes of the call and its rescue boat teams prepared for launch in case of need.
The Steam Packet says Holyhead coastguard stood Manxman down to resume her scheduled sailing as another vessel was on scene and able to assist.
Fleetwood and Barrow lifeboats are also en route.
It says Manxman is now making best speed and aiming to be alongside in Heysham at 12pm, just fifteen minutes behind schedule.
