Plans to commemorate birthplace of Sir Frank Gill
There are plans to commemorate the birthplace of a Manxman who is credited with setting up the BBC in 1922.
Sir Frank Gill was born in the building which is now the Co-op in Castletown.
He's the subject of a book called Sir Frank Gill: The Unique story of a Manx telecommunications pioneer.
Author Bob Stimpson says he was an influential figure in his day, who called the likes of Marconi, Alexander Graham Bell and John Logie Baird friends.
Speaking to Manx Radio's Beth Espey, Mr Stimpson says Sir Frank never forgot his Manx roots:
