Reason for the delay not yet confirmed
The Manxman appears to be experiencing an issue on the way to Heysham this morning.
Manx Radio was informed by passengers onboard that the ship is travelling at around 5 knots heading into the port and they have been told it will be delayed getting in.
It was scheduled to arrive at 12.50pm today.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet company has confirmed to Manx Radio the 'Manxman is currently travelling at reduced speed whilst the crew investigate a technical issue with the propulsion system'.
We'll share more details as soon as we have them.
** UPDATE 12:40PM**
The Manxman's return journey to the Island will be delayed.
It is now scheduled to depart at 3.30pm, rather than 2.15pm.
Passengers are asked to check in no later than 2.30pm.
