Animal charity urges people not to buy animals as gifts
There’s been an ‘influx’ of dogs, bought by owners during the Covid-19 pandemic, being handed over to an animal charity.
The ManxSPCA says the age profile of the animals it’s being asked to rehome can be traced back to the lockdowns.

She says the increase was predicted and, as Christmas approaches, she has a strong message for anyone considering a new pet:
