Fledgling birds 'learning to fly'
The ManxSPCA is reminding people that Herring Gulls are a legally protected and endangered species.
It's as a number of fledgling birds are starting to appear by the sides of roads and in gardens.
The charity says it's normal for them to leave their rooftop nests before they can fly properly, and their parents should continue to come down to feed them a few times a day.
But Animal Care Officer Emma Hartmann has this advice to anyone who might be concerned about a young gull:
