Rally duo go off the road
A review is underway after a crew went off the road at Marine Drive in the 138.com Rally Isle of Man.
The incident this afternoon (Saturday) saw Mitsubishi duo Jamie Jukes and Dave Williams’s car clip the inside of a rock face right-hand turn and eventually barrel-roll around 80 feet before coming to rest on a ledge.
Williams was taken to Noble’s Hospital and the stage abandoned.
Manx Radio’s rally correspondent Chris Boyde said questions will now be asked about the use of Marine Drive, which was dropped from the Manx National Rally earlier this year.
