Government has confirmed it considers them to be public transport and face coverings are a legal requirement.
Some drivers had taken to social media claiming they were unsure whether passengers had to wear one – and whose responsibility it was to enforce this.
Chief Minister Alfred Cannan says the clarity should help to 'avoid confusion':
