Levels previously measured well under UK safety guidelines
The chairman of the communications commission Juan Watterson says mobile phone masts on the Island aren’t regularly monitored for radiation levels.
In the House of Keys this morning North Douglas MHK John Houghton quizzed him about the microwave levels from masts.
Mr Watterson said Ofcom had carried out monitoring between 2001 and 2012 and had found levels well under UK safety guidelines.
