Continuing the Maughold bus service as it is can no longer be justified, according to the Island's director of public transport.
Ian Longworth has been responding to criticism from Maughold Commissioners, who're annoyed there was no public consultation before the decision was made.
Mr Longworth says a public consultation starts now, now that the proposed changes have been announced.
He says what's planned for Maughold has worked elsewhere on the Island:
Man who launched attack on van driver sentenced
RNLI's last serving Mersey class boat visits the Island
Double victory for Island's heritage railways
Demolition work to get underway on Douglas high street site
Pan-Island Skills Test returns to the Isle of Man
