Award should perhaps be for partner!
An Island recipient of the MBE says the award was a total surprise - and feels it should perhaps should have gone to his wife!
Stewart Clague received the recognition for an outstanding contribution to the Isle of Man and the Lonan and Laxey community.
He set up SCS Ltd - which now employs over 100 people - in 1969 and has established a sizeable nature reserve at his Ballanette home.
Mr Clague, a local commissioner until recently, has also been involved in helping the former All Saints Church to re-open as a community centre . .
