Message of hope delivered in End ME project
This week (24 May) Tynwald members were shown a detailed presentation of the crippling impact of M.E. on a person's life by Linda Tannenbaum.
She's the CEO of the Open Medicine Foundation in California.
On an international tour of 6 different countries, Mrs Tannenbaum is giving talks on the global 'End ME project', a concerted effort to eradicate the illness through ground-breaking research.
She was invited to the Island by the M.E. Support Group, who hope her visit will act as a catalyst for improvements in care for the estimated 350 local sufferers.
Mrs Tannenbuam hopes the talks made a lasting impression:
Steam Packet praises passengers and crew following 'significantly rougher' than normal crossing
MiCard alternatives 'must be better than what we already have'
Last chance for central residents to respond to 20mph consultation
Spitfire passenger flights to launch from Ronaldsway
