DHSC minister questioned in Keys
Meals on Wheels' subsidy was axed because there're too many providers on the food delivery market - according to the health minister.
That's the answer Douglas North MHK, David Ashford, received on asking Kate Beecroft for the departmental policy on ensuring need is met.
It follows news that the DHSC is cutting its £159,000 funding for Age Concern Isle of Man to roll out the service.
Douglas North MHK, David Ashford, had concerns other services by the Meals on Wheels charity - like befriending, and administration - would suffer.
Mrs Beecroft explains why the department made the decision:

Reports of people not listening to marshals on day one of MGP
Arrow returns to service after repairs
A Manx bap and chicken katsu curry included in new school menu
