Matter to be raised in the House of Keys
Charging meat producers to process their animal waste will have a negative impact on industry and the environment.
That's according to Onchan MHK Peter Karran, who will press the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture on the issue in the House of Keys this week.
He believes the policy might encourage butchers to dump their waste illegally, or go off-Island for their supplies.
Mr. Karran told Manx Radio he thinks the charges are unsustainable:
