Fighting fit firefighters earn stripes

Two Manx firefighters have walked away with medals at an event dubbed the 'Olympics' of the public protection world.

Neil Parsons and Elliott Moore attended the World Police and Firefighter Games 2017 in Los Angeles last weekend.

The biannual event brings together 10,000 competitors from around the world for a variety of sporting events.

Elliott walked away with a silver in the Ultimate Firefighter endurance event - and Laxey man Neil took six individual and team medals in shooting.
