Health minister wants agreeable terms before laws come in
GPs need to be happy and willing to prescribe medicinal cannabis before government can allow a routine roll out across the Island.
The health minister says a survey of clinicians found whilst a few were enthusiastic about the product, the majority weren't so sure.
David Ashford was responding to a question from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper in the House of Keys.
He says he wants clinicians to be on board with using the drug, before progress with legislation goes any further:
