Hopes for rider's full recovery
Doctors say they are 'very optimistic' road racer Ryan Farquhar will make a full recovery.
The 40 year-old Irishman is at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast after a crash during last night’s North West 200 Supertwin race in which he sustained chest and pelvic injuries.
An operation has been described as successful, with doctors stating they are happy with the progress he has made.
Team bosses have confirmed Farquhar’s KMR Kawasaki team-mates will compete in tomorrow’s Supertwin race as scheduled.
