
Nearly 100 Castletown residents and business owners have expressed their opposition to a planning application for more residential properties within Callow's Yard (TUES).
The requisition meeting was called after a letter to the commissioners was presented bearing the signatures of 31 locals.
At maximum capacity the proposal for a mixture of one and two bedroom apartments could house 108 people.
The town's MHK, Richard Ronan, says it being rented to people receiving housing benefits is of concern, but he still wants to see the development work:
