Stone less than a mile from where officers were attacked
A memorial stone to PC Fiona Bone is due to be unveiled in Manchester this afternoon (Thurs)
Manx-educated Fiona and her colleague Nicola Hughes were killed in a gun and grenade attack in Tameside, Greater Manchester in September 2012.
The two police officers had been called to investigate an incident when they were attacked by Dale Cregan.
Cregan, who was convicted of both murders, has been told he will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Police Memorial Trust chairman Geraldine Winner and Greater Manchester's Chief Constable Ian Hopkins will attend the service at The Hub in Stockport Road at 3.30pm.
The site is less than a mile away from the scene of the attack
