Masters of Scottish vessels miss the deadline
Court officials have confirmed the masters of two Scottish ships, prosecuted for fishing in Manx waters without a licence, have been unable to pay their fines.
Mark Frood of the 'George Lou N' and Craig Petre of the 'Philomena' were ordered to pay £15,000 and £12,000 pounds respectively by March 27, but were unable to do so.
The men were also asked to pay compensation costs to the value of their illegal catch.
Due to data protection regulations, Manx Radio cannot confirm their current whereabouts.
In the event of a failure to pay, an offender can be given a default sentence of 180 days to be served at the Isle of Man prison in Jurby.
