Lecturer focused on growing Manx interest
Mental health student places on the Isle of Man are on the increase, but the rise isn't yet equivalent to numbers applying for places in adult care.
So says a lecturer in the area who teaches University of Chester accredited courses here - looking to recruit students for the September intake.
The three-year, full-time courses are hands-on and collaborative with Department of Health and Social Care providers - featuring work placements on Island.
Six of the 20 nursing students will go into mental health - although there are fewer applicants, Mark Haith says he'll focus on growing local interest.
