Tynwald approves £7.2 million funding
Plans to build a new £7.2m mental health unit have received Tynwald approval.
Funding for the facility, which will replace Grianagh Court in Braddan and form part of the Noble's Hospital campus, was granted yesterday (Tuesday).
Health chiefs say the current unit has operated at 100 per cent occupancy for several years and does not meet current or estimated future needs.
The new building will accommodate up to 26 patients - an increase of 30 per cent.
