Conducter pursuing legal case
The case of an electric tram conductor who suffered an electric shock at work is subject to legal proceedings.
It’s emerged inquiries are ongoing following an incident in May 2013 when the rear controller of the Manx Electric Railway tram number nine went live.
At the time, the member of staff was taken to hospital as a precaution and a defect found with the tram repaired.
A freedom of information request has asked for full details of the incident to be made public, a request turned down due to ongoing proceedings.
