
Plans to reunite the departments of health and social care make sense both financially and operationally.
So says the chief minister, a week before the proposals – part of an overall package of government reforms – go to Tynwald for debate.
If approved, the two departments will become one from April the first – just four years after they were separated.
However, Allan Bell insists the new structure won’t bear a resemblance to the former DHSS.
