Cases date back decades
The Methodist Church on the Island submitted six abuse cases to a huge inquiry spanning the last half-century, it's been revealed.
The figures were revealed after the church in the UK released its independent report into alleged sexual, physical, emotional and domestic abuse.
The statistics show three ministers reported possible cases on the Island, with a total of six allegations in all.
But the document covers a period dating back to the 1950s, and church officials say the cases may well already have been dealt with and there are no known outstanding cases here.
