Lamppost brought down at Union Mills
This mornings MGP Junior race was stopped after just one lap.
It followed a red flag incident at Union Mills just after the leaders had gone through the Grandstand.
Competitor Royce Rowe hit a lamppost after losing his control of his machine, bringing it down on to the course.
He was taken to Nobles Hospital by ambulance with leg injuries. His condition is described as stable and not causing concern at this stage.
Officials have had to make live wires from the lamppost safe and clear debris and fuel from the course.
The race is set to be re-started at midday and run over the reduced distance of 3 laps.
At the time of the incident, the event was being led by Michael Evans from Santon who smashed the lap record on his first circuit, though it's not currently clear if this record will stand.
