MGP newcomer reflects on performance

Illiam Quayle says he achieved all his goals

An Island motorcyclist who took on the Manx Grand Prix for the first time this year has been reflecting on the experience.

Illiam Quayle, son of former TT winner Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle, raced with Team ILR - owned and run by Ian Lougher, who himself won 10 TTs before retiring in 2025.

Illiam finished three races, with a best result of 13th, and lapped the Mountain Course at more than 110 miles per hour.

He says he enjoyed the whole event and really appreciated the support he received, although he admits the MGP blues have well and truly set in:
