2024 event plagued by issues so far
Action finally got underway on the Mountain Course yesterday (22 August) at the 2024 Manx Grand Prix after days of disruption but it was short lived.
Riders did get their second qualifying session in during the afternoon however, once again, bad weather saw the cancellation of yet another opportunity to practice.
Last night’s session was scrapped as the poor weather closed in.
But are the questionable ‘summer’ conditions putting people off the event altogether?
Chanelle Sukhoo headed to The Grandstand to find out:
Today the course is expected to shut at 9.30am, with the first bikes setting off from the Grandstand at 10.15am.
Roads will reopen by 4.30pm before shutting against at 6pm for the evening session, reopening by 9pm.
Despite the disruption, and lack of two-wheel action, these fans told Manx Radio they're still, in the main, fans of the event:
