Input to Tromode facility to be optimised
The MHK overseeing the new look Meat Plant management says finding markets both on and off the Island for Manx meat is vital.
Tim Baker and the new Commercial Board, yet to be publicly named, have the task of optimising input into the Tromode facility and maximising the price that can be returned to farmers.
The aim is to encourage farmers to choose local rather than taking their livestock off Island for higher prices.
Mr Baker says part of the problem is about marketing
