An MHK who called for speed restrictions around schools in her constituency insists it was never her intention for there to be a blanket 20mph limit on the Island.
Douglas Central's Ann Corlett gained support in Tynwald for the introduction of 20mph zones in residential areas in the previous administration, before it was reaffirmed in 2023.
Plans from the Department of Infrastructure to roll out more 20mph areas were paused in January following the dismissal of the previous infrastructure minister.
Mrs Corlett has now met with the new minister in a bid to secure restrictions around schools in Douglas:
