Glover speaking to Treasury over licensing regulations
Treasury has been asked to look at whether it can change licensing rules which determine when you can drink alcohol on Steam Packet vessels.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover says he believes the current regulations – which don’t allow people to be served until they are outside of Manx waters – are ‘archaic’.
The issue was raised during a debate on connectivity in Tynwald this week.
He believes they should be updated:
Three-month wait for state pension forecast statements
OFT to investigate possible regulation of funeral directors
"One of the Island's foremost champions of Manx heritage" to receive Tynwald Honour
No timeline yet for reinstatement of rehab service to north
Venezuela Fury & Noah Price wedding "a true showcase of the breadth and quality of Manx services"
