Additional support is needed says Callister
An MHK says social housing tenants who are spending more than 35 per cent of their income on rents needed added support.
Onchan Member Rob Callister wants a structure in place to help those who struggled to meet the cost of rents on the Island, particularly those in certain vulnerable groups.
He says high prices are a burden on a number of his constituents, and wants government and local authorities to come to together and investigate a fairer solution.
