But chief minister says it's not 'appropriate'
The chief minister says he doesn’t believe it’s ‘appropriate’ to enable people to submit freedom of information requests about the Steam Packet Company.
Alfred Cannan was quizzed on the matter in the House of Keys this week by Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas:
The Steam Packet is 100 percent owned by Treasury but it’s run at arm’s length by the company.
The former DoI Minister says that makes it a public authority and insists it should be added to the FoI register – something Mr Cannan disagreed with:
