Hooper blasts 'unfair' spending policy
An MHK has voiced concerns over public housing tenants' money being spent on other government services.
Lawrie Hooper pressed the Infrastructure Minister on the matter in the House of Keys yesterday (Tue).
While Ray Harmer did assure Mr Hooper rents were 'consistent and equitable' Island-wide, he admitted that the £5.4 million the DoI takes in rental income each year is re-absorbed back into the Department's overall budget.
Any surpluses could therefore feasibly go towards different projects.
Mr Hooper claims that isn't fair on tenants:

'Essential' that school staff recognise the signs of an allergic reaction
'High' risk of wildfires over the next week
'Come From Away' to continue after cast member injured during rehearsal
'Parks in worse state then when I started' says Peel commissioner
