DESC says it is managing absence 'internally'
An MHK has claimed 17 members of staff were off work yesterday at Castle Rushen High School.
Tim Glover, who represents Arbory Castletown and Malew, didn't specify if they were all Covid related absences.
He made the claim came during an urgent question in the House of Keys during discussion over a new strain of the virus:
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture has told Manx Radio it has seen an increase in staff absence which is being 'managed internally' within the school over the last few days.
It says the numbers 'vary daily' so it is hard to confirm exact figures.
